Soft Blue Blueberry Cluster - the blueberries are almost ripe. Hues of dusty blues can be seen. The constand rain we had this spring made them nice and plump. By next weekend we might be able to make our first batch of blueberry pancakes.
This lushes powdery blue purple blueberry cluster is hanging tide on to its branches with small blueberry leaves right next to them. The background is a dark green. The view and focus is on the top berries with the focus gradually going softer to the back.
This blueberry macro photograph is part of my garden safari series. Every morning my Australian Kelpie dog and I venture out to our garden to see what mother nature has gifted us each day. The birds love our berries and there are days they beat us to the bounty. I don't mind to share with our tiny critters, but they are not as accommodating in return. The day I took this picture the hunt was especially successful.
