These pollard-willows stand with their feet in the cold water of the river Lek near Culemborg.
I took this photo in the cold week beginning February 2021.
It was high tide, so the floodplains were flooded and together with the snow it gave a unique image.
Snow and frost make everything just a little bit more special.
