Smith Rock state park is a small state park in the middle of the state of Oregon. The park is not large but certainly beautiful. Especially beautiful is the meandering Crook River that flows between the steep cliffs. The viewpoint from where you can see this well is actually just about at the parking lot and so visiting it requires little effort. If you want to see more of the park you can also take a number of hikes. You can choose from an easy walk along the riverbank or a very difficult walk that goes steeply up to the top of the rocks that you see here on the right in the picture.
