About ‘Silence in Detail’ by peter reinders

The image shows a highly carved detail of a wildebeest (gnu): an ear, part of the horn and the neck, photographed against an all-white background. The composition is minimalist and graphic. The extreme cropping means the animal is not shown as a whole, but as shape and texture. The hairs, whiskers and skin texture are sharp and tactile, indicating controlled light and high resolution. The white background is high-key, creating an almost studio-like, fine-art look.

A work that would fit well in a sleek interior, as well as in a cafe, lunchroom or other hospitality venue.
