The gannet (Morus bassanus or Sula bassana) is a bird from the family of gannets (Sulidae). It is a seabird with a large range in the North Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. He has beautiful blue eyes and some yellow in the feather coat.

The Jan van Gent is the largest breeding bird of the Faroe Islands. The bird breeds only on the westernmost islands of Mykines and Mykineshólmun and on rocks in the sea.
