About ‘Sheep in the floodplain’ by Gerard Wielenga

A flock of sheep in the floodplains of the river Lek. The fields are covered in a light mist as the trees begin to change into their autumn colours. It almost looks like a painting by an old master. The flock of sheep in the picture exudes tranquillity, seeming to merge completely with the landscape around them. The whole scene has something timeless, as if time has stood still in this place. The photo is an invitation to explore nature and enjoy the beauty around us. Why not go out and discover this special place yourself? I started photographing when it was still a craft that gave you brown fingers as if you were a chain smoker and I did that smoking too. Meanwhile I don't smoke anymore and also from your keyboard you don't get brown fingers anymore, but I still do photography with a lot of pleasure. And if someone else can enjoy my work then that is of course completely beautiful.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
