The cirrocumulus or sheep cloud is a type of cloud that occurs at high altitudes, 5 to 12 km. This type of cloud occurs in larger fields. This cloud type indicates increasing humidity. It can be a precursor of a weather deterioration due to an approaching cold front and can be followed by altocumulus.
