The Blue-throated Macaw is a critically endangered bird. It is still possible to see them in the Barba Azul Nature Reserve in Bolivia. In the early morning, three Blue-throated Macaws shared a tree with two Whistling Herons. The sound of these herons is also a signature early morning in the reserve.
