In the southeast of Iceland, you will find Lake Jökulsárlón, also known as Lake Icebergs. This lake was created here because large pieces of ice break off from the large Vatnajokull glacier and end up in the lake. The seals use these icebergs and ice floes to lie wonderfully on. With a bit of luck they come fairly close to the edge of the lake and you can enjoy these beautiful animals. In the summer you can also take a boat on the lake and get even closer to the seals and icebergs.
