This work shows the Scary Church Lane. The alley connects the Zeedijk and the Oudekerksplein in Amsterdam. Already in the 17th century the alley can be seen in paintings. On the left is a beautiful street lamp decorated with a golden crown. The houses on the left side of the alley are painted white, the buildings on the right dark brown. The overall picture gives a picturesque picture of the inner city of Amsterdam.
