About the artwork

Sailing in summer light feels like a journey of freedom, captured in one quiet moment. From the highest point of the Dune du Pilat in France, a view unfolded that radiated peace and space. The soft colours, the rippling water and the small sailboats in the distance create a calm, almost meditative atmosphere. Everything moves slowly and softly to the rhythm of a summer day.

In the distance, sandbanks and the glitter of sunlight on the breaking waves on the horizon could be seen. The sailboats seemed weightless, almost floating in an endless space. Sailing here evokes the ultimate feeling of freedom, free from time and hustle and bustle. The sea becomes a place of silence.

The photo "Sailing in summer light" comes into its own in an interior where peace and light are welcome: a living room, study or holiday home. Hanging on the wall, this image brings space, relaxation and a soft memory of summer. It invites you to stand still for a moment.

For "Sailing in summer light" I used an ND filter, among other things, which allowed me to work with a long shutter speed. This ensures that movement in the water fades and an almost still surface is created. The high position on the dune allows the vastness of the landscape to come into its own.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
