About ‘Saarschleife - Panorama Sunset’ by Frank Herrmann

The Saar Loop, also called the Great Saar Loop, near Mettlach, is a valley where the Saar River breaks through the Taunus quartzite. It is one of the most famous sights in the Saarland. The best-known view is from the Cloef vantage point in the Mettlach district of Orscholz, about 180 m above the river.
