About the artwork

I took this photo of the Euromast. It is the skyline of Rotterdam on a beautiful cloudless evening.

The turnaround in thinking about high-rise buildings in cities came from the 1980s onwards. An icon of this turnaround is Rotterdam's World Trade Center, built above the stock exchange building near Coolsingel. Unlike earlier high-rise buildings, this building was perceived by many as a beautification of the city. Since then, many high-rise buildings have appeared in Rotterdam. Especially on the Weena, where one of the tallest office buildings in the Netherlands, Delftse Poort, was completed, was built quickly. From the 1990s, high-rise buildings were also built at other locations in the city, both business buildings and residential towers. The best-known high-rise location is Kop van Zuid, a former port site on the other side of the river Maas, planned as an extension of the city centre. A mix of living, working, shopping and entertainment has been formed here. It is seen as an architectural masterpiece centred on Wilhelmina Pier. Rotterdam is now a city with many skyscrapers and an ever-expanding skyline, the city has the tallest residential tower with the New Orleans and the tallest office building in the Netherlands with the Maastoren.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
