The picture shows a close-up of a pink iris flower. The delicate, wavy petals unfold in a gentle colour gradient from a light to a slightly more intense shade of pink. The texture of the petals appears almost fabric-like, while the background of blurred green tones discreetly frames the main flower and emphasises its shape.
The inspiration for this picture came from observing how the iris opens in the morning light - slowly, almost like a dance. I was attracted by the challenge of capturing this movement in a static image. I was less interested in botanical documentation than in a visual study of form, light and colour.
The atmosphere I want to create with this work is calm but lively. It should convey a feeling of lightness and organic elegance - a moment of stillness that is nevertheless full of movement.
In interior design, this picture acts as a subtle accent. Especially in bright, natural or Scandinavian-inspired rooms, it brings a subtle colourfulness and a soft dynamism that is both calming and inspiring.
