The Romanesque Pieterskerk is one of the oldest churches in the Dutch city of Utrecht. Construction began in 1039 and on 1 May 1048, the Pieterskerk was consecrated by Bishop Bernold. The church formed the eastern point of the Utrecht "Cross of Churches", of which the Dom Church was the centre. Nowadays, the Pieterskerk is used as a Walloon Church. Nowadays, the Pieterskerk is illuminated at night by a Trajectum Lumen artwork. The photo was taken in the evening of 25 March 2010, Dark Utrecht.
