This photo was taken in St Mark's Square in Venice early in the morning before the arrival of the many tourists. You can see the Basilica of San Marco and the Campanile (tower) in the background and in the reflections of the water. Did you know that the abundance of water in the square is not because of rain? No, this comes when it is high tide. There are small slots in the tiles and when it is high tide, the water bubbles up in the square.
