The peacock worm (Sabella pavonina) is a marine polychaete worm belonging to the family Sabellidae and is here photographed from above so that the beautiful colored pinnate tentacles, which are in a wreath, are shown. The tube is usually on hard substrate. At the slightest disturbance the animal moves in the plume. Oosterschelde, Zeeland, Netherlands.
