About "Panoramic forest path with rootlets"

About the artwork

During my hike on Bald Mountain near Barchem, I came across this beautiful forest path with nicely shaped root clusters that seemed to creep along the slope of the path.

The Kale Berg, sometimes Kalenberg, is a 46.5-metre-high hill in the Dutch province of Gelderland. The Kale Berg is part of the lateral moraine near Lochem, of which the Lochemse Berg forms the highest point. De Kale Berg is located southeast of this hill (Wikipedia).

My first attempts were not sharp enough to properly accentuate the effect of the roots, so after a few days I went back twice more to make another attempt with different settings.

To allow for larger prints as well, I ended up shooting about five photos'in portrait and merging them into a 12,101 x 6,051 (73M pixel) panorama shot.

The effect turned out to be strongest in black and white with sharp contrast. The extra sunlight on the left side gives a nicely balanced ratio between light and dark areas.

A nice composition for above the sofa in the living room, or at the headboard above the bed in the bedroom.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
