"Panorama of an owl: Just looking around!" is a panorama made from 3 separate portrait photos of an owl that I took a while ago.
Owls can turn their heads incredibly far and this owl did just that. By juxtaposing these three photos, it becomes a kind of triptych of an owl looking around.
In the first two owl portraits, the focus of the work is on the beak and right eye (to the viewer). In the right owl, the focus is on the feathers on the back of its head (in the middle). Because I chose a shallow depth of field when taking the photos, the owl becomes fainter the further away from the focus point you go.
The owl's warm brown tones, with its bright orange eyes and dark background, give this work a warm feel.
This work could, for example, hang beautifully as a wall decoration in the living room, bedroom, children's room or, of course, simply above the couch in the living room!
