A panoramic colour photograph of a huge iceberg off Elephant Island in the Antarctic.
The picture was taken during an expedition cruise and shows Elephant Island, the island where the survivors of Ernest Shakleton's failed Antarctic expedition found refuge in 1916.
More than 20 men survived in this extreme environment over a period of around four months.
The picture shows the violence of nature, which is both beautiful and merciless at the same time. The inspiration for this picture is a love of extreme landscapes.
The image was realised as an HDR and consists of around 20 individual images, which were compiled as different exposures and arranged next to each other. This made it possible to achieve both a high resolution and optimum dynamics in the image.
The picture is suitable as a large-format panorama in modern living rooms.
