This floral nature shot was taken on 25 October 2025 in the early afternoon hours with the NIKON D800 camera (lens: NIKKOR 24.0-70.0 mm f/2.8).
I discovered this enchanting and charming millet (panicle) during my extensive photo walk in the Botanical Volkspark Blankenfelde-Pankow.
The subsequent colour toning in orange, which is comparable to the trend colour Tangerine Twist in terms of the colour scale, gives the natural motif a warm, energetic mood that suits the autumnal season. The bokeh effect, i.e. the blurred effect in the background of the cultivated plant, enchants the picture with a particularly interesting pictorial technique with a dreamy, surreal mood.
The Pankow Botanical Park is part of the Barnim Nature Park. The park is located in the north-east of Berlin on the Barnim plateau and is an important part of this landscape.
Location: The park is located on the edge of the Barnim Nature Park.
Description: Covering 34 hectares, it combines a cultivated landscape with the nature park, making it a "Berlin gateway" to the open landscape of the Barnim.
History: The park was originally created as a school garden and was integrated into the Barnim Nature Park in 1998.
