An oyster bed in Cancale, France during rising water is a photo I took at an oyster farm in the Bay of Cancale during a sunny day at the beginning of autumn.
The charming town of Cancale on the French Emerald Coast in northern Brittany is known worldwide for its oyster farming.
At low tide it is bustling with boats, tractors and people. As soon as the tide comes in and the water approaches the quay of the bay, peace returns until the next low tide.
I captured the minimalist photo “Oyster Bed in Cancale in France” with a long exposure time. The choice for this is twofold. On one hand to enhance the restored peace in the image and on the other hand to focus on the oyster banks, which have been laid out in a structured manner.
