Not the smallest, but still a dwarf water lily is this species with flowers of 5 to 7 cm. When the leaves emerge, they are initially purplish, later changing to a beautiful dark green. This compact water lily that occupies a water surface of 50 to 75 cm is an absolute must for smaller (terrace) ponds. Don't be alarmed if the flowers don't open yet in the morning, this dwarf water lily takes its time and only opens at the end of the morning. After this, you can enjoy the beautiful snow-white flowers.
