About "Nature art in Antarctica"

About the artwork

Antarctica is also known as the frozen continent and for good reason. After more than two days of sailing, you wake up in a white rough world filled with icebergs, snow, ice and rugged mountain landscapes. Waking up is beautiful and often words fail to do justice to the splendour of this continent.

You can see a huge diversity of wildlife and the most beautiful landscapes here, but the icebergs are no less impressive. From giant icebergs to smaller ones, every time they manage to take your breath away and you simply cannot stop photographing them. From every angle they look different and if you look with a 'psychological' eye you will see shapes of animals, objects and people in them.

On one side they can be rough and rugged, while on the other they are soft and undulating. This difference occurs when the icebergs find a new centre of gravity and tilt. Parts that were previously submerged now suddenly stick out high. Icebergs are constantly moving and in summer they melt and sometimes pieces break off, causing them to tilt.

You can never take just one photo of an iceberg because they have a totally different appearance from every angle, so you keep looking and taking photos. Not a bad occupation!
