About ‘Nature Takes in Cambodia’ by Erwin's Travel Photography

Nature slowly takes possession again of the overgrown ruins of temples at Angkor Wat in Siem Reap, Angkor in Cambodia. Lots of green and moss on stone.

This image shows the power of nature: it takes back possession of man-made structures. In the context of this place, the ancient temples of Angkor, the image becomes extra dramatic.
In addition, it gives a kind of cinematic 'Indiana Jones' effect. It could have come straight out of a movie.

The photo was taken several years ago. At this point it is almost impossible to make the same image. Due to the increased crowds, measures have been taken to introduce more signs and barriers.
