Located in the iconic Alhambra in Granada, the Nasrid palaces are one of the most impressive examples of Moorish architecture in Europe. These palaces, also called the "Palacios Nazaríes" are the culmination of the Nasrid dynasty, which ruled the emirate of Granada from the 13th to the 15th century.

With richly decorated rooms, refined stucco details and magnificent water features, the palaces reflect the artistic and cultural flowering of Islamic Spain, or Al-Andalus. The palace complex consists of several parts, including the Mexuar, the Palace of Comares and the Palace of the Lions (Palacio de los Leones). Each of these buildings offers a unique take on the grandeur of the Nasrid era.

The Alhambra itself sits on a hill overlooking the city of Granada, with the snow-capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada in the background. The site served not only as a fortress, but also as a royal residence where art, science and culture flourished. The famous Patio de los Leones, with its ornate fountain and twelve marble lions, is one of the most photographed spots in Spain.
