While travelling through Abu Dhabi one evening, I visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
The Mongolian and Moorish architecture is stunning. The mosque was lit purple from the outside, which gave me a mystical feeling. The reflection in the water enhanced that feeling.
Once inside, the bright white light meets you and there is a serene silence. It feels very nice.
The carpet in the prayer rooms and the grandeur of the chandeliers are impressive and breathtaking.
The picture exudes tranquillity and gives a small peek inside. You can see some people walking in the distance. What are they on their way to? Are they on their way to the prayer rooms with the beautiful chandeliers? Looking at the photo does make you curious.
