About ‘Mussels in evening light on the coast’ by Sia Windig

In the last light of day, the mussels gather on their banks. The sea in the background shimmers. The blue hour slowly recedes into the night.

The photo was taken in Breskens, Zeeland. The depth of focus makes it almost an abstract mêlée of deep warm colors. I like to work with bokeh to create a mysterious atmosphere.
