Aan het Munsterplein bevindt zich de 13e eeuwse OLV Munsterkerk. Dit is het meest opmerkelijke en ook nauwelijks te ontlopen monument van Roermond. De Munsterkerk heeft letterlijk en figuurlijk vele stormen overleefd en pronkt zij vandaag de dag in het centrum van de stad Roermond.
