Mount Rainier is a beautiful national park in Washington State. The park actually consists of the Mount Rainier volcano and its meadow surroundings. From all parts of the park you have a view of the gigantic 4392 meter high volcano. whose top is covered with eternal snow. The volcano has not been active for some time. The park is divided into 4 zones of which those around Paradise and Sunrise are the most visited. We have enjoyed 2 days in these areas. You can take beautiful walks here through the mountain meadows which, if you can plan your visit in late July or early August, are full of wildflowers that are then in bloom. In addition to the central area around the volcano, you will find several waterfalls, mountain lakes and even a piece of temperate rainforest in the park.
