About ‘Manhattan on the Meuse’ by Paul Poot

Kop van Zuid is sometimes called Manhattan on the Maas. With this image, I tried to recognise the atmosphere of New York in Rotterdam. In the foreground, we see a taxi, driving along a rainy Wilhelminakade at night, past the old warehouses and high-rise buildings that characterise Kop van Zuid.
