Malus 'Golden Hornet' A good-growing ornamental apple with an oval crown and a height of 6 m. The leaves are oval and fresh green in colour. 'Golden Hornet' is richly flowering. In bud the flowers are dark purple-pink, after opening they turn light purple and once fully open they are white. The flowers are single. From late summer onwards, many fruits follow that stay on for a long time. They are about 2.5 cm in diameter and deep yellow in colour. Useful in parks, public gardens and public gardens. Requires a lot of moisture and soil fertility. Sensitive to sea winds. 'Golden Hornet' is an improved 'Wintergold' but is moderately susceptible to scab. Hardiness zone: 5
