Lonely roadside chapel in Lech am Arlberg
While hiking in the mountains of Austria, I passed by this chapel.
Standing lonely, at the foot of a hill in the middle of the field.
Why and in honour of which saint this chapel stands here is not known to me.
However, I did immediately notice the beauty of this white chapel in contrast with the woods behind. I loved the minimalist image of this structure, this man-made chapel, in the middle of the wild nature of the mountains.
And so this Catholic chapel is an inspiration to many people. For believers, but also for ordinary photographers who see the aesthetics of the picture.
