24 Hours of Daytona in February 1969 Lola T70 Mk 3B GT (1969) with chassis SL76/139 at the 24 Hours of Daytona 1969 - overall winner with #6 in the Sunoco Roger Penske Lola with the two drivers Mark Donohue and Chuck Parsons. In 2nd place with #8 AIR Lola T70 Mk 3B was actor James Garner (known from the TV series "Detektiv Rockford - Anruf genügt") together with his team on another Lola T70. This Lola T70 Mk 3b by Sbarro with chassis No. SL-106 is one of about 10 chassis or clones/sister models of the T70 Coupé Mk 3b that Chuck Parson, the winner of the 24 Hours of Daytona 1969, had bought from Sbarro.
At an auction in Paris at RM SOTHEBY'S in February 2014, the racing coupé changed hands for the last time for 168,000 euros. The Sbarro Lola T70 MKIII were built so true to the original over 50 years ago that they amaze even accomplished experts (except for the models with Ferrari and Porsche engines).
