Since 1987, I have been regularly visiting the Greek village of Loggos on the Ionian island of Paxos. A small and picturesque village that has a pier to protect the small harbor from the sea. The whitewashed houses on the pier are the iconic and unique landmark of Loggos. The small harbor is surrounded by very good tavernas and cafes with terraces, the local bakery and a few souvenir shops.
The iconic dilapidated olive soap factory is part of the heritage of Loggos and is currently being refurbished and converted into a complex of luxury vacation apartments.
Contemporary images and even those from the past inspire me to recycle them for re-actionary contemporary impressionist art.
