The Lisserpoelmolen, an auger mill believed to have been built in 1676, is located on the eastern ring canal of Sassenheim. The mill is responsible for pumping the Lisserpoelpolder, with an area of about 235 hectares and a head of 3.40 metres.
During its long existence, the mill has faced significant damage several times.
The mill continued to operate very regularly after these events.
