The city of Groningen is a dynamic municipality in the North of the Netherlands. It is the capital of the province of Groningen. A city with contradictions, and variety of architecture.
It offers visitors a range of buildings, such as the living room of Groningen the Forum. This building is just not visible in this shot.

In the background you can see the new east side, where especially the new WestCord hotel and the white Merck stand out in terms of architecture, especially if you put the Martin tower and the church opposite.
As a born and bred Groninger this place is very close to my heart, and I am curious how the upcoming changes will influence the total center, hopefully in a positive way.
