The Airbus A380 is the largest airworthy passenger aircraft in the world. It is a widebody aircraft with two floors for passengers. The aircraft can carry a maximum of 853 passengers, but will usually carry 555 in an average configuration.
The first test flight of the A380 was conducted on 27 April 2005, the first commercial flight two and a half years later, on 25 October 2007. That was a Singapore Airlines aircraft flying from Singapore to Sydney.
