I took this photo in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. For my work I was allowed to go this way and in advance I had marked a number of locations to photograph including, of course, the imposing skyline of Kuala Lumpur, including the striking Petronas Twin Towers.
Armed with tripod, camera and a couple of lenses, I headed to one of Kuala Lumpur's many rooftop bars. The bar opened at 6am and of course I was there to get the best seat with the best view.
Since I was nicely on time, I could already try out some compositions so that I would have the right frame in my sights at the "moment suprême". After I had set everything up properly, the waiting could begin for what would hopefully be a beautiful sunset. Well as you can see, my wait was rewarded and it turned out to be a beautiful sunset! With this sky, it is prize shooting and I was able to get some good shots including this vertical composition with the Petronas Twin Towers in the centre. Satisfied, I was able to return to my hotel.
But just pressing the button is not enough; I will work on that at home. Because at home I process 99% of my photos because I have a large screen, a fast desktop and a Wacom drawing tablet and various software packages at my disposal to quietly edit my photos and make them suitable for my shop here at werk aan de muur.
