About ‘Koemarkt in Purmerend’ by Jan van der Knaap

Dit is de Koemarkt. Oorspronkelijk was dit een plaats voor de veehandel - tot laat in de 20e eeuw werden hier koeien verhandeld. Die tijd is voorbij. Het beeld op het plein verwijst ook naar die handel.
Tegenwoordig is de Koemarkt een populaire uitgaansgelegenheid. Langs het plein is horeca gevestigd. Op het plein vinden evenementen plaats, zoals het Reuring-festival, kermis, braderieën, foodfestivals, markten, kerstmarkten, en alles wat er in de loop van het jaar nog wordt georganiseerd.
De gedenkstenen op de voorgrond verwijzen naar het de restanten van het Sint Ursulaklooster dat tijdens de Reformatie in 1573 werd verwoest. Die restanten werden in 2009 tijdens de renovatie van de Koemarkt ontdekt, en zijn gewoon weer toegedekt.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
