About ‘King Rama I Monument’ by Travel Tips and Stories

The monument in the image is the King Rama I Monument, located in Bangkok, Thailand.
Key Details
Significance: It honors King Buddha Yodfa Chulaloke (Rama I), the founder of the Chakri Dynasty and the king who established Bangkok as the capital of Thailand in 1782.
Location: It is situated at the foot of the Phra Phutthayotfa Memorial Bridge (commonly known as the Memorial Bridge) on the Bangkok side of the Chao Phraya River.
History: The monument was opened on April 6, 1932, to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Bangkok.
Design: The bronze statue depicts the king in full royal costume, seated on a throne. It was designed by Prince Narisara and sculpted by Professor Silpa Bhirasri.
The site is a popular historical landmark surrounded by gardens and fountains, located near the famous Pak Khlong Talat (Flower Market).

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
