About ‘Kasteel Noisy’ by Niels Van der Borght

De pracht van België: Chateau Noisy, een neogotisch kasteel dat gebouwd is in 1886 en verlaten sinds 1991.

Na de tweede wereldoorlog kocht de nationale sporenmaatschapij dit kasteel op en gebruikte het als zomerverblijf voor zieke kinderen.

Helaas zijn de sloopwerken begonnen in 2016 omdat het kasteel te bouwvallig is.

Since 2014, I started the so-called hobby "Urban exploration" or "Urbex" for short.Urbex is entering and photographing abandoned buildings (Castles, factories, fancy villas, hospitals...).

Why do I do this?
Whenever I walk around these buildings, I am fascinated by the ancient architecture and details that can be found sporadically in contemporary buildings.

The power of decay also appeals to me, peeling paint, moss and mushrooms growing…
