About ‘Kangal in Istanbul’ by Erika Kaisersot

Istanbul is a city that has linked two continents for centuries. Amidst magnificent mosques, the Bosphorus and the bustling streets, history, culture and cuisine come together in a unique way. It is precisely this special atmosphere that I wanted to capture with this image.

A friendly Kangal dog is relaxing, enjoying a piece of traditional baklava and a cup of Turkish tea. The scene evokes warm hospitality, oriental scents and those little moments of pleasure that make every journey unforgettable. The view across the Bosphorus and the impressive silhouette of the historic old town invite you to immerse yourself, if only for a moment, in Istanbul’s special charm.

What fascinates me about Istanbul is the blend of tradition and modernity, as well as the diversity of cultures that come together here. This image is intended to stir a longing for faraway places whilst also evoking memories of cosy moments in a Turkish café. It is a small tribute to a city brimming with history, flavour and hospitality.

This motif is part of the ‘Discovering the World with Dogs’ collection, in which famous travel destinations, regional specialities and native dog breeds come together to form little travel stories.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
