Golden bird of fantasy is an acrylic painting hand-painted by artist Karen Kaspar. A bird in bright tones of yellow, gold, orange and red sits on a branch against an abstract blue background.
The inspiration for this abstracted acrylic painting of a golden fantasy bird was a photograph I took of a great tit sitting in a bush in my garden in spring. I liked the pose of the bird but felt like painting something more colourful. So I decided to have some fun and - here is my golden fantasy bird.
This work, a combination of painting and haiku, is a joint project by Karen Kaspar (© art and artwork) and Marjolein Rotsteeg (© Haiku).
A haiku is a traditional Japanese poetic form consisting of three lines.
Here the acrylic painting was completed with the haiku in English. In my portfolio there is also a variant with the poem in Dutch (see album 'Haiku and Painting Dutch'). The painting is also available without text (see album 'Birds').
You can find more paintings with haiku and poems in my albums 'Haiku and Painting English' and 'Haiku and Painting Dutch'. New works are constantly being added to the albums. So keep checking back from time to time!
