The picture shows a close-up of the filigree leaves of the Japanese fan maple Murasaki Kiyohime. The leaves are characterised by their delicate structure and vibrant play of colours: While the centre of the leaf appears in rich green and yellow, the edges are dipped in an intense red. This natural colour composition has an almost graphic effect and was the starting point for this work.
The inspiration lay in the observation of seasonal transitions - especially in spring, when the colour play of the leaves changes daily. I wanted to capture this moment of change, in which growth and transience are revealed simultaneously.
The atmosphere I want to create with this picture is calm and focussed. It is about pausing to appreciate the details that are often overlooked in everyday life. The message is a quiet one: nature is not static, but a constant process.
In interior design, this image acts as an organic accent that brings structure and colour into the room - without being dominant. Especially in minimalist or nature-orientated room concepts, it unfolds its effect as a calm but expressive eye-catcher.
