About ‘It's the little things’ by Angela Kraan

Going to the beach is still not something many of us take for granted. Neither is mine. But when I do go, I really make a day of it. I can enjoy myself there for hours, there is so much to see. Gazing at the waves, sitting on a terrace, people-watching, it gives an instant holiday feeling. The best thing, of course, is to photograph with beautiful light, so 'early in the morning or later in the day. That gives more atmosphere and a nicer glow to a photo anyway. There were lots of feathers on the beach, so I could do with that. With a low viewpoint, the golden light was also well captured. This created lots of bokeh because of the glare in the water. For me, the photo exudes serenity, it is almost abstract. A delicate feather reflecting in the water. I am also happy with the colours. This fits any interior.
