Isle of Cameo - Tropical dream in the Ionian Sea, Zakynthos (4/5)

by Dixy Kracht

From the air, an almost surreal scene unfolds: the charming island of Cameo, connected to the Zakynthos mainland by a wooden walkway, floating above crystal-clear turquoise waters. What makes this place so special are not only the steep cliffs and pine trees that cling to the island, but also the large, flapping canvases that dance like graceful flags in the sea breeze - an enchanting detail that you only really see when you look closely.

This photo was taken during a drone flight over Zakynthos, with the idea of showing the island from a different angle. The inspiration actually came naturally - this place oozes romance and mystery, almost like discovering a hidden paradise. It felt like I was bringing a postcard to life.

The atmosphere is summery, light and a touch magical. The quiet movements of the boats, the play of light on the water, and the natural lines of the reef create a sense of freedom, holiday and wonder. It is a place where time seems to slow down.

This work fits perfectly in an interior that calls for colour, tranquillity or a touch of adventure. Think of a living room with natural tones, a bright office space or a holiday home. For anyone who loves travelling, island atmospheres or simply fond memories of Greece.
