About ‘In front of the shop window’ by Frans Gesell

*For the Shop Window*, is an ode to the spontaneous joy of everyday moments. Inspired by a group of shopping ladies standing, radiant and colourful, in front of a shop window, I tried to capture the charm of this scene. The ladies wear large hats, giving them a graceful, almost nostalgic look.

I chose a colour palette of green, blue and yellow, shades that not only reflect the warmth and friendliness of the scene, but also underline its playful energy. These colours flow gently into each other, enhanced by a watercolour technique that gives the image a dreamy, painterly look. The work has a light, airy character, as if viewing a moment of conviviality and connection through a soft lens.

The soft brushstrokes and transparent layers enhance the sense of movement and freedom, as if the ladies could walk on in a moment. This artwork aims not only to depict a scene, but also to evoke a sense of pleasure in simple, shared moments.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
