About ‘Ice rocks on Iceland's black beach’ by Marcel Alsemgeest
Ice rocks on the black beach of Iceland, near the Jökulsárlón glacier lake. The black color of the beach comes from the volcanic material that has developed into a black kind of sand. The ice rocks break away from a large glacier, drift into the ocean via a lake, and sometimes wash up on the black beach.
