Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.

About ‘Horse of Marken’ by Frank Tauran

The Marken Lighthouse, popularly known as the Horse of Marken, was designed by Jan Valk and built in 1839 and stands on the eastern tip of the island of Marken. The lighthouse has a light height of 16 metres and a light range of 9 nautical miles. The lighthouse keeper's house next to the tower is occupied. The buildings have been national monuments since 1970.

This building inspired me in a cinematic way, reminding me of Alfred Hitchcock's film classic The Birds. I wanted to create this atmosphere with the post-processing.

Fotografie is voor mij beelden maken. Het is niet alleen wat het oog ziet dat ik vast leg. Emotie is voor mij nog belangrijker. In het nabewerken speelt dit ook een prominente rol. Ik hou mij vooral met het fotograferen van landschappen bezig , maar ook zwart wit, modern, portretten, straatfotografie komt voor in mijn portfolio. Sinds kort heb ik een deel van mijn werk te koop bij 'Werk aan de muur'.
